The shelf unit's proportions are unusual and very pretty. The main design idea was not to have a second piece of tall furniture - alongside the wardrobe - in the child's bedroom. The low height of the shelf unit makes the whole room seem more generous and lighter. In addition, the hand-painted picture stand out particularly well at this height, as do individual objects such as a lamp, a vase or a special toy. The height of the shelves was chosen so that young children can easily store picture books, games and baskets with Duplo or Lego. Later on they can use it for their school books and folder. Great care was taken to ensure that the heights of both the cabinet and the shelf unit are the same, making the whole appear unified and harmonious. The shelf unit can also be used as a room divider - the hardboard back of the unit is replaced with checked fabric. Large check in pale pink for example looks particularly attractive.
